Creating exams
Paper exams and online exams have separate creation and delivery workflows.
For a paper, select a template and add questions manually, use bank-based Auto Select, or use AI generation (Generate Questions) where enabled. Auto Select builds the paper from existing bank questions against exact per-section counts, optional marks and time totals and tag-share rules, replacing the paper's current questions when it succeeds; AI generation creates draft questions that you review and add to the paper in batches. Review requirements, coverage, difficulty and answers — including feedback in the paper's review panel — then preview the paper and output before distribution.
For an online assessment, build the online exam first, then create a sitting to manage student entry, timing, completion and review release. A completed attempt and an available review are separate states.
